With this patient presentation, your selection is understandable; however, it’s more likely that this patient has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Although she presents with signs and symptoms that may be associated with other more common conditions, the combination of echocardiographic and electrocardiographic findings is suggestive of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Additional tests would be needed to determine the etiology of her condition.1
